Island Healing offers 10 group fitness classes that cater to a range of age group and fitness goals. Check out the timetable, class descriptions, and prices below.

Group Fitness Offerings

Hatha Yoga:  This is a gentle and slower-paced type of yoga that is suitable for all levels. Benefits include better posture, body toning,  and relieving stress and tightness.

Pilates: Build core strength, protect lower back, prevent injuries, tone tummy, hips, and thighs. Pilates will massage internal organs which in turn optimises digestion and boosts immunity. Look good and feel better.

Powerbar: This group fitness class is designed to work every muscle group in the body to tone muscles and increase bone density and muscle mass. Using bars and dumbbells you will be working to keep your metabolic rate high and burn excess fat.

Total Body Circuit: This is a short, sharp group fitness session which makes it a viable option for those who are lacking in time. This half hour circuit will work your whole body. Spend 2-5 minutes on each station and feel the burn in every major muscle group.

Active & Mature (Over 50’s): An intermediate circuit class with folk of a like vintage. A social group fitness class where fun and catching up are a must.

Lift For Life: This group fitness class is subsidised by the government, priced at just $5 per class and aimed at 60 plus. A low to intermediate intensity to prevent injury, promote health, and ward off old age!

Heartmoves: This group fitness class is a government subsidised fitness program which costs only $5 per class. Heartmoves is a very low-intensity class that caters for those with a heart condition or for those looking for a basic exercise program. Promote heart health and redcue blood pressure. Suitable for those above 60 years. 

Boxing 4 Fitness: Get the gloves and focus pads out. Partner up and start the reps. A high intensity group fitness class that will get the sweat flowing and heart rate pumping. Great cross-training for life!

Boot Camp: Our personal trainers will whip you into shape by getting you to put 100% into running, boxing, situps, pushups, rowing, pedalling, sweating, and getting the heart rate pumping. A fun atmosphere for those wanting to lose weight and get into great shape.

Guns n’ Guts Boot Camp: As the name suggests this class is aimed at the guns (arms/shoulders) and guts (abs). A great cross trainer for surfing, football and life in general. The class involves a range exercises for upper body strength and core power. Originally aimed at the male variety, it has also became an attraction for the ladies who are after extra intensity in a workout program.
